Protective Gear
Unless you plan for a short boxing career, you should invest in some quality protective gear. The most common methods of protection include head guards, hand wraps, mouth guards, and groin protectors. Look for a head guard that include a front and side panel, including ear protection. Something with thick padding, and preferably made from leather, so as to be more durable and long lasting. Choose hand wraps that are long enough to give you full coverage of your hands and knuckles. Mexican style hand wraps are a popular item, as they are made from a more elastic type material and are usually longer than regular hand wraps.
