Heavy Bags

An average sized male, with average punching power, should look for a heavy bag in the 60-80 lb range. If you are a harder puncher, you may want to go with a 100+ lb bag. Be careful if you are starting out, to not choose too heavy of a bag. Punching a 100 lb bag can be like punching a wall and can cause damage if you do not use the proper technique. If you are a lighter puncher or looking to improve speed and agility, choose a 40 lb or lighter bag.
